Individual counseling provides a safe and confidential space to address personal issues. The client directs therapy by collaborating with the therapist to create goals and set the pace. Evidence-based practices are used to support you. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to guide recovery.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a powerful psychological treatment that can help individuals transform their negative thought patterns and behaviors. By uncovering the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and actions, CBT empowers individuals to take control of their mental health and achieve positive outcomes. Whether you're struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, or addiction, CBT offers a structured and evidence-based approach to therapy that can help you overcome your challenges. You'll learn practical techniques to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors and develop new habits that support your well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy approach that helps individuals process and overcome past traumatic experiences. During an EMDR session, the patient briefly recalls a traumatic event while being guided through bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements). This process helps to reduce the emotional intensity of the traumatic memory which allows the patient to reprocess the traumatic memory more adaptively. EMDR has been shown to be effective in treating PTSD, as well as other mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
